I’ve been working through the new issue of CI. As always, it is great going-to-bed reading material. I’m looking forward to trying the Cajun Red Beans and Rice, and the Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza.

They have yet again included a recipe for “indoor pulled pork.” Between CI and Cook’s Country, in the last three or four years I think I have seen four ever-so-slight variations of this same dish. Repeating recipes is one of the few complaints I have about ATK. For heavens sake if you can’t come up with new stuff for six issues each year, let me know and I’ll cancel my subscription and pull out an old issue every other month.

When it comes to pulled pork, forget about doing it indoors. Smoke extra the right way during the summer and freeze it!
